The Anthargange trek is one of the most coveted trekking spots near Bangalore. It’s a unique confluence of trekking and cave exploration that takes the excitement one notch up. So, we planned a one-day outing with our Zoloites on one weekend. We started from Electronic City around 7 AM and reached the location by 10 AM.
As we reached we had to take a long staircase that chaperones to the temple which is known as “ Kashi of South “. We started the trekking with the permission of the District police. Anthargange hill is completely surrounded by boulders. Located around 65km from Bangalore near Kolar, the elevation of the top of this hill is 1712m above sea level. The trek was around 3km in length which seemed pretty moderate as the trek started with finding a way through broken rocks and tricky path in the boulders to finally arrive at the cave site to explore. This amazing experience of making your way through the formation and crawling at times because of the cave’s volcanic rock formation is a tale that will become everyone’s point of envy. After all the exploration, we crossed a grassland and reached the closest village where our bus was waiting for us to take back.
Singing and dancing, playing some random games on our way made this trip seem to be a short trip but a cherishable one. That’s the beauty of the bond we share.!!
