As we continue to fight the COVID-19 pandemic and adapt to the enforcement of social distances and home-stay mandates, co-living tenants have been forced to bridge the gaps in their community’s designs to discover new ways of living with others, while at the same time alleviating health risks. In fact, co-living communities may be better positioned to deal with a pandemic while balancing a sense of normality than traditional residential real estate offerings.
So let’s see how Zolo is fighting against Covid-19.
Adopting social distancing
Anyone with flu symptoms is advised to self-quarantine and reach out to a doctor as soon as possible, which are held at the properties on standby. We suggested our customers to apply for internal transfers from multiple people sharing a room to a single sharing room or, as a precautionary measure in some cases.
Training sessions
Special training sessions have been held at our properties for housekeeping staff so that they are aware of the best cleaning and sanitation practices based on the WHO guidelines.
Hygienic food service at Zolo
Our staff has received good training and they use gloves and hairnets on a daily basis; we provide protective kitchen equipment, we keep social distances, as the number of people in the kitchen is reduced. All our goods are manufactured by licensed distributors and disinfected upon arrival at the premises. The food is washed properly and thoroughly and often the food is cleaned and disinfected with disinfectants and every dining area such as tables, chairs and surfaces.
Sanitization
All Zolostays properties have officially started to use hospital-grade disinfectants and WHO-approved cleaning agents in buildings for cleaning rooms, washrooms, and open spaces. Particular attention is given to the cleaning of regularly touched surfaces such as doorknobs, taps, health faucets, flush handles, and switches, which carry the highest probability of the virus remaining on their surfaces. Hand sanitizers were installed at their property’s common areas.
Safety has become paramount
In the world of today safety has become paramount in everybody’s mind. Tenants want homes to have safety features that include guest screening, visitor management, health emergency support, and co-living provides migrants with these features, in fact becoming their “ICE – In Emergency Case” when they stay away from home.
Clean homes
Today, the priority is on hygiene. Even millennials are now looking for areas that are clean and well managed. “Clean homes” is the trend in Google searches as a term opposed to “Cheap homes” with tenants willing to pay rent for hygiene at their co-living space. By keeping hygiene as our first priority we are giving combat to COVID-19.
Work from home productivity
Corporates are now taking an active interest in where their employees are staying, as this affects the productivity of working from home. They evaluate Zolostays co-living as a “business continuity plan,” since they provide a safe alternative to seamlessly work from home in times of crisis. As we provide all the facilities and furniture required for WFH during this crisis.
Secure and flexible payment process
We are adopting a secure and flexible payment process that is only online payment. We also introduced flexible deposit amounts at some locations and discounted online payment amounts to help people have a safe and secure place to stay at discounted rates, especially at a time when many people are struggling to pay bills.
Remember that being safe is beneficial to everyone else, especially those who are old and sick, and not just to you. While we are working towards our goal by implementing all the necessary steps and enhancing our effectiveness in hygiene and safety practices, we hope and know that you will keep this guide in mind and make your stay at Zolostays more comfortable. So Zolo has become the safest home for all of us, fighting with the COVID 19.
