Delhi is a union territory of India which contains the capital of India New Delhi. New Delhi was formed in 1911 after a decision was made by the Government of British India to move the capital of India from Calcutta to Delhi. Delhi, officially the National Capital Territory of Delhi has a population of over 11 million according to the 2011 census, making it the second-highest populous city in India.
